Through a kind of 'catch and release' process, my work
captures familiar but 'invisible' textures from our surroundings
and brings them into the realm of conscious attention. The
details of everyday life - captured, moved forward in time and
space, and released into precious metals - are transformed into
wearable art.
In the 'catch' stage, textures are transferred into a material
which can be transported away from the original site. In the
'release' stage, these impressions are delivered into the
medium of precious metal and translated into jewelry.
